Our client, a leader in commercial property management and building services, is seeking a dedicated Building Engineer to join their team. As a Building Engineer, you will be an essential part of the facilities management team, supporting the maintenance and operation of building systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will enable you to thrive in this dynamic environment.

Location: Palm Beach Gardens, FL

What's the Job?

• Monitor, maintain, and repair building systems, including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on HVAC and refrigeration units.
• Analyze complex technical issues and develop innovative solutions to ensure optimal building performance.
• Respond promptly to after-hours alarms and on-call requests, ensuring safety and operational continuity.
• Assist with general building upkeep, including painting, roofing, and other maintenance tasks as needed.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in building engineering or facilities maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC/R, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• EPA certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry loads of 50 lbs. or more and climb stairs or ladders safely.
• Availability to work a rotating on-call schedule and respond within 45 minutes when required.
