Our client, a leader in the automotive industry, is seeking an Automotive Design Engineer to join their team. As an Automotive Design Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting vehicle development and testing projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Automotive Design Engineer

Location: Santa Clarita, CA

Pay Range: $38/hr. - $45/hr.

What's the Job?

• Perform 3D and 2D design of automotive components, including support for test cell engine or electrification design work
• Execute design tasks for a wide range of vehicle-relevant projects, including pinnacle and commercial programs
• Utilize CAD software, with experience in CATIA V6 considered a plus
• Develop surfacing CAD skills, such as aero surface body parts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design accuracy and project success

What's Needed?

• 2–3 years of experience in 2D and 3D software modeling and FEA, specifically for jigs, fixtures, and gears for dyno test cells
• Proficiency with PC workstation hardware and CATIA software
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and standard codes
• Strong time management and project management skills
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
