Chauffeur Classe 1

We are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Chauffeur. For long-distance trips starting from our Baie Comeau terminal, with 90% of the trips on Route 389/Labrador City, but with the possibility of different destinations on occasion. In this designated role, departures will be according to the schedule. The rate is $33.78 per hour for driving and $30.78 per hour for service, plus $0.20 per mile for Routes 389/500, half-time after 60 hours. We guarantee 50 hours per week, otherwise we will pay you for them.

Candidates must have the following qualifications:

1. A valid Class 1 driver's license is mandatory for this position. No exceptions will be made.
2. Reliability and autonomy are essential qualities for success in this position.
3. A clean criminal record is required. Candidates must be willing to undergo a thorough background check.
4. Candidates must provide a recent driving record, dated less than two months ago, to verify their driving history and ensure they meet our safety standards.
5. Two professional references from previous employers are necessary to validate work experience and performance.
6. Excellent communication skills are indispensable, as the ability to maintain constant contact is vital for this position.
7. Although not mandatory, driving experience on Route 389 would be very advantageous and could be prioritized during the selection process.
