Maine Staffing Group has an immediate opening for a Front Counter Sales Associate in Portland, Maine, and we want to hear from YOU!

About the Role

As our Front Counter Sales Associate, you’ll be the face of the company—welcoming wholesale customers with professionalism and a smile. You’ll play a key role in assisting customers, managing orders, and supporting warehouse operations. This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) M-F 7a to 4p, 1 hour lunch with competitive pay ranging from $22–$23/hr, depending on experience.

What You’ll Do

• Greet and assist walk-in wholesale customers in a friendly, professional manner
• Process counter sales and enter orders accurately into our system
• Pick and complete customer orders from the warehouse
• Keep the showroom and work area clean, stocked, and organized
• Support your team members and jump in where needed
• Handle multiple tasks with a calm, can-do attitude
• Occasionally work overtime (because business is booming!)

Physical Requirements

• You’ll be on your feet—standing, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and moving around
• The workspace is a clean, safe, and well-organized warehouse with concrete floors

What We’re Looking For

• A team player with a strong work ethic and great attitude
• Sales experience or product knowledge? Not required—we’ll train the right person!
• Previous experience in counter sales or a warehouse setting is a plus
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Basic computer and math skills required
• Must be able to read and understand part numbers, labels, and warehouse documentation
