GovCIO is currently hiring for a Senior Computer User Support Specialist. This position is fully remote. The role involves providing technical support for computers and associated networks, including installing, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing personal computers, network equipment such as servers, modems, multiplexers, and related PC software, telephones, cables, and connectors. The specialist will also provide personal computer, hardware, and software support, connect personal computers and terminals to existing data networks, maintain network diagrams and circuit records, maintain trouble logs, and instruct users in the use of personal computers and networks. Additionally, the specialist will investigate information, network, and communications needs of users, and make recommendations regarding software and hardware purchases. The role also includes performing basic PC, PBX, and network software programming, conferring with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications, installing and performing minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, answering questions or resolving computer problems for clients or staff in person, via telephone, or from a remote location, maintaining records of daily data communication transactions, problems, and remedial actions taken, and developing training materials and procedures, and/or training users in the proper use of hardware and software.
Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor's with 8+ years (or commensurate experience). Clearance Required: ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
