Food Service Worker

The Barron Center is a long-term care facility with an excellent reputation for fostering a caring and creative work environment. We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team who want to make a difference in their community and our residents\' lives. Our Nutrition Services department has opportunities available for general kitchen support.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Tray set-up for individual residents
  • Dish washing
  • Additional food service and preparation related tasks

Required Skills & Experience:

  • High School completion is required.
  • Prior experience in a food service environment is preferred.
  • Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
  • Must possess valid Maine Class C drivers license

Expected Hours/Schedule:

Part time, 30 hours per week, including weekends and rotating holidays. The schedule is 11am-7pm on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Applications accepted until filled. Offers of employment are contingent upon the completion of a pre-employment physical exam and a satisfactory criminal background check.

Salary & Benefits:

This is a union position - CEBA, Grade 1M - Starting pay rate is between $18.72 - $21.78 per hour, based on experience. There is a $2 shift differential for weekend hours.
