Field Service Representative

The Field Service Representative (FSR) will provide maintenance, modification, launch and recovery activities for rotary-wing and fixed-wing platforms. The FSR will ensure aircraft are in good condition and safe for flight.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of aircraft to ensure operational availability.
  • Sign off the release of aircraft for flight in accordance with approved technical data and service guidance.
  • Perform airframe, powerplant, electrical, and/or avionics modifications to aircraft.
  • Lead, train, and direct contractor and government personnel in familiarization, maintenance and modification of aircraft systems.
  • Maintain and update aircraft records and documentation in hard copy and computerized systems.
  • Identify and source materials for aircraft maintenance and modifications.
  • Receive material and update material inventories.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

The required skills and knowledge include:

  • Ability to work unsupervised to lead the maintenance and modification of a variety of turboprop fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft in domestic or overseas locations during operations, training, and test events.
  • Ability to work with flight crews, equipment manufacturers, and engineers to install, test, and troubleshoot new and existing systems/subsystems on aircraft.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license required. FAA/FCC avionics certification desired.

The minimum years of related experience required:

  • Ten (10) years experience

Education

  • The minimum level of education required is: High school diploma and industry/military training for aircraft maintenance

Desired Requirements

The desired skills, knowledge, and education include: Inspection Authorization (IA) qualifications

Other Qualifications

Outside of the above, other certifications, licenses, or clearances include:

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance
  • Physical requirements for the job include ability to work safely on the exterior and interior of aircraft, either outdoors or inside hangar.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and comply with OSHA standards.

The projected compensation range for this position is $70000 to $130000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
