Senior Lead Software Development Engineer - Remote Eligible

The Role

The Senior Lead Software Development Engineer contributes to the design and development of complex ServiceNow solutions, including integrations with external systems and platforms. This role translates business requirements into technical designs and collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement scalable solutions within the ServiceNow platform. While not the primary architect, the Senior Lead plays a key role in technical execution and mentoring junior developers.

This is a remote opportunity open to candidates located anywhere in the U.S.

The Main Responsibilities

• Design and implement integrations between ServiceNow and external systems, including REST-based bi-directional data flows.
• Support the development of Scripted REST APIs, outbound REST Messages, IntegrationHub flows, and MID Server configurations.
• Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to define integration requirements and ensure alignment with best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Assist in debugging and optimizing integrations for performance and reliability.
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing across the team.

What We Look For In A Candidate

• 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and integrations.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, OAuth, and web technologies.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow scoped applications.
• Experience with MID Server setup and basic configuration.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow's data models and CMDB.
• Exposure to the SN CSM and FSM applications/modules is a plus.
• Ability to identify architectural considerations and collaborate with senior architects.
• Must have the ability to obtain Security Clearance.

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges:

$129,639 - $172,852 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.

$136,121 - $181,494 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.

$142,603 - $190,137 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
