We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to support the development of the Center Console within our Cockpit Systems team. This role offers hands-on exposure to the full lifecycle of a key interior commodity from concept development through release and launch—working closely with a Senior Engineer and cross-functional teams.

Your Role

• Assist in the design and engineering of center console mechanisms, including map pocket lids, armrest storage, and handle actuation systems.
• Support the release of engineering documentation, including CAD models, drawings, and BOMs.
• Participate in supplier reviews and support issue resolution during prototype and production builds.
• Contribute to launch readiness activities including validation testing, fit & finish assessments, and build support.
• Help track program milestones and maintain documentation for design reviews and gateways.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a master's degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or a related field.
• Prior internship or project experience with a Tier 1 supplier or OEM is strongly preferred.
• Basic knowledge of CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, NX, or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for automotive design and user-focused innovation.
• Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous internship or project experience in automotive or consumer product development.
• Familiarity with vehicle packaging, materials, and manufacturing processes.
