We are currently seeking an Engineer, Body Structures. This position requires an experienced professional responsible for the design and development of the body-in-white of a world-class vehicle in terms of styling and function.
Your Role
- Create and develop innovative Body in White (BIW) components in aluminum and/or steel to achieve best-in-class vehicle packaging, weight, cost, Noise Vibration Harshness (NVH) and crash performance.
- Work closely with CAE and vehicle testing teams to interpret and use analysis results to guide and evolve the design.
- Work with manufacturing to ensure efficient buildable designs.
- Deliver best-in-class craftmanship and fit/finish.
- Work efficiently within a multidisciplinary cooperative environment.
Qualifications
- Educational background in mechanical engineering or equivalent. Specialization in automotive engineering is preferred.
- Expertise in vehicle body-in-white design. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Catia V5/V6 and a good knowledge of GD&T is required.
- Proven ability to integrate state-of-the-art design and manufacturing methods into product design.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with achieving excellence as core principle.
- Experience in complete vehicle development life cycle - from concept to SOP is required. Experience of more than 1 full cycle is preferred.
- Business level proficiency in English is required.
