We are looking for an inspired innovative Developer with a background in the development of high throughput mission critical business applications, leveraging AWS technologies with .NET, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.

A software developer's day involves attending a morning stand-up meeting, reviewing code, working on complex coding tasks, collaborating with team members, and participating in design and architecture discussions. They also attend meetings like sprint planning and retrospectives, monitor project progress, deploy code. By the end of the day, they review their progress, update documentation, and prepare for the next day's tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to teammates through technical design and implementation of industry best practices adhering to LPL's modernization practices, cloud practices, SDLC, and release management processes.
  • Develop positive relationships with business partners to understand their needs, manage expectations, deliver value-add solutions, and support translation of problem statements into system requirements.
  • Assess opportunities for application and process improvements and show success through KPIs.
  • Use customer and business feedback to inform roadmaps and non-functional goals.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including architecture, data, product, and business partners, and strategies to scale and modernize existing trading platforms.
  • Work collaboratively with quality assurance engineering teams, DevOps and PMO to ensure all SDLC processes and Agile best practices are followed.
  • Code and implement guardrails to enable self-service and frictionless delivery allowing teams to build and own end-to-end applications and services in the cloud.
  • Measure success by say/do, velocity, defect remediation, and clear value to the trading platforms.
  • Provide production support, maintain, troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance trading platforms/applications.
  • Ensure service level agreements and contingency activities are covered related to system/application availability ensuring zero Advisor experience disruption.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of C#, .NET Core, SQL Server, and NOSQL DBs (PostgreSQL preferable).
  • Ability to create and consume RESTful services.
  • Experience with Angular or a similar framework.
  • Understanding of responsive design principles to ensure applications work on various devices.
  • Knowledge of core AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
  • Utilizing AI-powered tools like Copilot to generate code snippets, boilerplate code, and entire functions based on natural language descriptions.
  • Leveraging AI to provide intelligent code completions, reducing the time spent on writing repetitive code.
  • Using AI to identify potential bugs and suggest fixes in real-time as you write code.
  • Code Refactoring: Employing AI to suggest and automate code refactoring, improving code quality and maintainability.
  • Documentation Generation: Utilizing AI to generate documentation for code, including comments, function descriptions, and usage examples.
  • CI/CD using GitHub repositories.
  • Knowledge of data streaming technologies like Kafka and event driven architectures/patterns.
  • 2+ years of related experience in capital markets.

Core Competencies

  • Experience with owning and production support of mission critical applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Capable of effectively planning, prioritizing, and executing tasks utilizing resources and tools.
  • Experience championing Agile methodologies for accomplishing delivery deadlines.

Preferences

  • Experience working in trading domain with knowledge of backend trading and order execution workflows.
  • Experience working with global delivery teams.

Pay Range

$31.26-$52.10/hour. Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
