Corporate Support and Network Technician - Heartwell Renewables

Welcome to Heartwell! The Corporate Support Technician serves as the initial contact for network requests by collecting essential information such as location, device type, port requirements, and urgency prior to execution or escalation. Collaborate with Network Engineering to manage configuration changes, address troubleshooting beyond onsite capabilities, and coordinate planned network activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting skills in corporate end-user computing environments, including Microsoft Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, peripherals, printers, A/V systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Proficient with enterprise network hardware (Ethernet switches, wireless access points, patch panels, structured cabling) and basic LAN/WAN concepts.
- Able to clearly identify, describe, and escalate network hardware issues to Network Engineering.
- Comfortable working in IDFs/MDFs, adhering to management and documentation standards.
- Communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences across all organizational levels, selecting suitable methods.
- Handles complex problems, makes sound decisions under pressure, and manages priorities and timelines independently.
- Interprets technical documentation and resolves issues using established methods.
- Collaborative team player who can also work autonomously and act with discretion regarding sensitive information.
- Educates users on systems and services.
- Keen attention to detail; experienced with remote access tools (e.g., Bomgar).
Physical and Environmental Requirements
- Safely lift, rack, and mount network equipment up to 35 lbs.
- Work in network closets and data centers for limited periods.
- Utilize hand and power tools for installation, cabling, and hardware replacement.
- Perform repetitive hand, wrist, and finger motions.
- Crouch, bend, crawl, reach, pull, push, drag, and grip as needed.
- Climb ladders if required.
- Communicate clearly and exchange technical information.
- Discern sounds and visual details with or without corrective devices.
