Sme Computer User Support Specialist

GovCIO is currently hiring for SME Computer User Support Specialist. This position is fully remote. The responsibilities include providing technical support for computers and associated networks. This involves installing, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing personal computers, network equipment such as servers, modems, multiplexers, related PC software, telephones, cables, and connectors. The role also includes providing personal computer, hardware, and software support. It involves installing, servicing, and repairing personal computers and installing attendant software. The specialist connects personal computers and terminals to existing data networks, maintains network diagrams and circuit records, and maintains trouble logs. They instruct users in the use of personal computers and networks, investigate information, network, and communications needs of users, and make recommendations regarding software and hardware purchases. Additionally, the specialist performs basic PC, PBX, and network software programming, confers with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications, installs and performs minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, answers questions or resolves computer problems for clients or staff in person, via telephone or from a remote location, maintains records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial action taken, and installation activities. They develop training materials and procedures, and/or train users in the proper use of hardware and software.

Qualifications required include a Bachelor's degree with 12+ years (or commensurate experience). Required skills and experience include a clearance required: ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.

Posted Pay Range: The posted pay range reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors. Posted Salary Range: USD $100,000.00 - USD $107,000.00 /Yr.
