Project Manager Of Facility Services (Operations)

Position Summary
The Project Manager will oversee district facility projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with district priorities, contractor deliverables, and budget constraints. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders, contractors, and internal staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Scheduling
- Develop project schedules in coordination with district leadership, contractors, and vendors.
- Ensure work is sequenced to minimize disruption to district operations.
- Monitor progress and adjust schedules as necessary.
- Work Order & System Management
- Input and track project-related work orders in FlowPath and FMX.
- Maintain accurate records of project status, timelines, and completion.
- Generate progress and performance reports for district leadership.
- Budget & Financial Oversight
- Perform budget analysis for each project, tracking expenditures against approved allocations.
- Obtain, compare, and evaluate multiple contractor/vendor quotes to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Support compliance with district procurement and financial policies.
- Project Execution & Oversight
- Manage projects from cradle to grave, including planning, procurement, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
- Conduct pre-project coordination meetings with district staff and contractors.
- Oversee on-site project activities to ensure quality, safety, and schedule compliance.
- Identify and mitigate risks, escalating issues to leadership as necessary.
- Stakeholder Communication
- Act as the primary liaison between district leadership, contractors, and internal staff.
- Provide regular status updates and project reports to leadership.
- Facilitate clear communication across all stakeholders to ensure alignment.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Facilities Management, Business, or related field (preferred).
- 3–5 years of project management experience in facilities, maintenance, or construction.
- Experience with work order systems (FlowPath, FMX, or similar CMMS platforms).
Skills & Competencies- Strong project scheduling and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in budget management and financial analysis.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply contract language, RFPs, and scopes of work.
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management tools.
Certifications (Preferred but not Required)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
- OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training.
