The Louisiana Special School District is seeking a skilled and experienced Operating Engineer Master to join our team. This critical role involves overseeing the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex mechanical and electrical systems. The successful candidate will bring deep technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence. Minimum qualifications include three years of experience or training in the operation or maintenance of large stationary engines or mechanical equipment. Necessary special requirements include possession of an appropriate EPA refrigerant recycling and recovery certification for technicians.
Job duties include operating and maintaining high-pressure boilers, HVAC systems, generators, and other mechanical/electrical equipment. The candidate will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, develop maintenance schedules, conduct system diagnostics, troubleshoot faults, and implement effective solutions. All operations must comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Detailed records, logs, and reports of system performance and maintenance activities must be maintained.
