The Clinical Social Worker (MSW) is responsible for assessment, treatment planning and provision of social work services to patients, families, groups and the interdisciplinary team. Essential duties include psychosocial assessment, clinical intervention, triage/management of clinical caseload, legal and ethical standards, documentation, in-service, social service reports, and quality improvement. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required qualifications include a master's degree in social work/social welfare from an accredited graduate school of social work, one year of experience in a medical setting, excellent analytical, problem-solving, planning and evaluation skills, ability to work effectively with physicians, staff, and patients, ability to function independently and as a member of a team, excellent verbal and written communication skills, commitment to excellence in patient care and customer service, social perceptiveness and empathy, and knowledge of social theories and practices.
Required licenses/certifications include Associate Clinical Social Worker - ASW (CA DCA), Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association, and Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) if required.
The annual base salary range for this position is $81,120.00 - $133,010.00.
