Human Resources Generalist (Bilingual – Spanish/English)

Position Overview: We are seeking a well-rounded, hands-on HR Generalist to support daily human resources operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires a bilingual (Spanish/English) professional with broad HR experience, working knowledge of accounting/payroll processes, and direct involvement in safety programs and Workers' Compensation administration. The ideal candidate is operationally strong, detail-oriented, and comfortable supporting both HR and related administrative/financial functions. This is a fully onsite position with no remote option.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources Operations:

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried manufacturing roles.
  • Coordinate onboarding, orientation, I-9 compliance, and E-Verify.
  • Maintain personnel files and HRIS data integrity.
  • Administer benefits enrollment, changes, and employee communications.
  • Support performance management and employee relations matters.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations (including wage & hour laws).

Payroll & Accounting Support:

  • Partner with Accounting to process payroll (review timecards, overtime, deductions, garnishments).
  • Reconcile payroll data and assist with payroll audits.
  • Support benefit invoice reconciliation and reporting.
  • Assist with tracking labor costs and workforce reporting.
  • Maintain accurate HR-related financial documentation.

Safety & Workers' Compensation:

  • Coordinate and maintain company safety programs in compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Lead or support safety meetings and required training.
  • Manage Workers' Compensation claims from initial report through resolution.
  • Partner with insurance carriers, adjusters, and medical providers.
  • Track injury logs (OSHA 300/300A) and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Support return-to-work and modified duty programs.

Compliance & Reporting:

  • Ensure regulatory compliance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Maintain documentation for audits and inspections.
  • Assist in policy updates and handbook revisions.
  • Generate HR metrics and workforce reports.

Requirements

• Proven experience in HR generalist roles, with a strong understanding of HR practices and principles.

• Proficiency in HRIS systems and the ability to manage employee data effectively.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to handle employee relations and training.

• Experience managing onboarding processes and benefits administration.

• Knowledge of employment laws and regulations at local, state, and federal levels.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred.

• Ability to work 100% on-site in Los Angeles, California.

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail for managing HR documentation.
