Team Leader

We are seeking a dynamic and digitally savvy team leader to lead a high-performing team of Account Managers in delivering outstanding client outcomes through technology-enabled engagement. This role will be based in Tokyo covering clients across Japan and China in the emerging book of business. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth, operational efficiency, and digital adoption. The ideal candidate will have a passion for leveraging digital tools, data, and scalable engagement models to transform client relationships and business outcomes.

Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead and mentor the account managers to adopt digital-first mind set, using technology and data analytics to drive high performance, integrity, and client partnership!
  • Champion the use of digital platforms (e.g., CRM, customer portals, digital communication tools) to engage clients efficiently and effectively, ensuring personalized yet scalable interactions!
  • Use analytics and reporting tools to monitor client health, product usage, and engagement trends.
  • Support the team in developing and driving go-to-market strategies and account plans tailored to market needs.
  • Apply financial market knowledge to guide the team's understanding of client workflows to find opportunities of cross sell and value creation!
  • Promote operational excellence through consistent execution of sales processes, pipeline management, account planning, and customer lifecycle framework.
  • Work closely with digital customer success, product, and technology teams to align account strategies with broader digital transformation goals.
  • Key success metrics will include Retention, Gross sales, Net Promoter scores, and Product usage.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in sales and account management with proven leadership capabilities, including team management and coaching with high focus on digital tools adoption
  • Familiarity with financial markets and client business environments with understanding of product workflows and industry practices.
  • Ability to lead teams through change, encouraging a culture of innovation and continuous improvement with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Japanese and English is ideal while knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and digital sales planning tools, driving digital adoption and technology-enabled transformation.
