Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and manage enterprise-level datasets, promote scalable data-sharing practices, and deliver actionable insights that drive business outcomes. You will gather data requirements and ensure the structure, integrity, and quality of data related to IT assets and infrastructure. You will analyse data patterns to uncover correlations and trends, and translate findings into clear, impactful visualizations that help stakeholders gain insights and make informed decisions.

To succeed in this role, you should be passionate about solving technical challenges and possess a strong analytical skill. You are proactive in exploring and applying emerging technologies and techniques for data collection and analysis. A broad understanding of IT infrastructure components, combined with the ability to communicate effectively across teams with varying levels of technical expertise, is essential.

What You Will Be Doing

Gather requirements to design, develop, and maintain dashboards and data analyses aligned with business goals.

Build and maintain data pipelines; manage data wrangling and automate scripting solutions.

Apply ETL process to cleanse, structure and transform raw data into meaningful and accessible formats.

Document and maintain data models and structures, ensuring compliance with data governance standards and preserving data integrity.

Collaborate with multi-functional teams to use existing datasets, tools, and processes in support of strategic initiatives.

Support strategic initiatives—such as infrastructure transformation, cyber risk analysis, and lifecycle planning—with data-backed insights.

Raise quality awareness and foster continuous improvements in systems and workflows.

What You Will Bring

Degree or equivalent experience in IT, Computer Science, or Technical Business Analysis

4+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related fields

Experience in organising and visualising data for analysis, insights, and storytelling.

Strong understanding of UI/UX principles with experience designing intuitive, user-centered interfaces for self-service data dashboards, applications, or workflow tools

Proficient in using business intelligence tools, databases, and scripting languages (e.g., Power BI, Snowflake, SQL, Python, REST APIs)

Good understanding of ETL processes, databases and data warehousing concepts.

Good communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical collaborators through clear and compelling messaging.

Nice To Have

Broad technical awareness and the ability to confidently engage across infrastructure domains; understanding of IT infrastructure components—such as compute, storage, operating systems, private/public cloud, and technology lifecycle—is a plus.

Experience with low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., Power Apps, Power Automate, Retool) for workflow automation and data input.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools and concepts (e.g., Git, DevOps) to support data engineering workflows.

Benefits

We are looking for intellectually curious people, passionate about the bigger picture of how the technology industry is evolving, ready to ask difficult questions and deal with complicated scenarios!
