Apac Post-Trade Sales Manager
This role sits within the APAC Post-Trade Sales team and focuses on driving the adoption of LCH and LSEG post-trade solutions across North Asia ex-Japan. The client base spans sell-side and buy-side institutions, including global and regional banks, Tier-2/3 banks, asset managers, hedge funds, insurers, brokers, and market infrastructures.
You will combine strategic client engagement, stakeholder mapping, commercial analysis, and cross-functional execution to deepen relationships, originate new opportunities, and deliver a best-in-class client experience across Rates, FX/NDFs, Repo, Equities/Credit, and optimisation services (Acadia, Quantile, SwapAgent).
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Coverage & Segment Strategy
- Build and maintain relationships across banks, asset managers, hedge funds, insurers, brokers, and FMIs in North Asia (ex-Japan).
- Map key decision-makers (front office, treasury, COO, risk, collateral, operations, onboarding) and maintain structured account plans.
- Develop targeted engagement strategies aligned to client needs, market opportunities, and regional priorities.
2. Sales & Commercial Execution
- Manage/support the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, pitching, solutioning, negotiation/approvals, onboarding, and post-go-live follow-up.
- Conduct commercial, portfolio, and margin/capital impact analyses to support proposals and business cases.
- Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and P&L attribution within CRM.
3. Product & Market Expertise
- Build credible knowledge across LCH services (Rates, FX/NDFs, Repo, Equities/Credit) and Post-Trade Solutions (Acadia, Quantile, SwapAgent).
- Understand client workflows and propose solutions that address operational, capital, and risk-management needs.
- Support preparation of client-ready presentations, market updates, insights, and internal briefings.
4. Regulatory & Market Structure Engagement
- Monitor regulatory and market-structure developments in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea.
- Support responses to consultations, regulatory meetings, and industry engagements through research and analysis.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product, Risk, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Client Services, and global Relationship Directors.
- Coordinate with sales specialists and Post-Trade Solutions teams to drive cross-sell opportunities.
- Ensure client needs are met across onboarding, service delivery, market change initiatives, and product enhancements.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Understanding of CCPs, clearing, OTC/listed derivatives, collateral and margining, or broader post-trade infrastructure.
- 5–7 years of institutional experience in sales, relationship management, business development, or client strategy within financial markets.
- Demonstrated experience covering both sell-side and buy-side clients.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret client data and articulate margin, capital, and portfolio impacts.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, including senior-level client interaction.
- High attention to detail; strong PowerPoint and Excel skills; disciplined planning and organisation.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of deliverables, and drive initiatives with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with global teams.
- Self-starter with strong commercial acumen and a proactive, accountable mindset.
Desirable
- Business-level proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese to enhance client engagement across North Asia.
- Ability to speak both Korean and Chinese is advantageous, given the regional client footprint.
- Knowledge of margin and collateral optimisation, risk analytics, or capital modelling.
- Understanding of regulatory and market-structure developments across Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Korea.
- Experience in CCPs, exchanges, banks/FCMs, buy-side institutions, or fintech/market infrastructure.
