Directory Services Support Engineer
You will need to be a highly skilled and motivated Directory Services Support Engineer to join our global Active Directory Support team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Active Directory, Entra ID, Domain Controller support, Windows OS support, Quest administration and tooling, Patch management, and PowerShell. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively run and support our Active Directory infrastructure across multiple regions.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Providing support for Active Directory and Entra ID, ensuring the stability and security of the directory services.
- Running and maintaining Domain Controllers, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and decommissioning.
- Providing Windows OS support, addressing issues related to Active Directory integration and performance.
- Deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting Quest tools for Active Directory administration, migration, reporting, and auditing tasks.
- Implementing and running Patch management processes to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure.
- Collaborating with global teams to ensure consistent and efficient Active Directory operations across all regions.
- Monitoring and responding to incidents and service requests, providing timely and effective resolutions.
- Developing and maintaining documentation for Active Directory processes, procedures, and configurations.
- Participating in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical Active Directory issues.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining PowerShell scripts to automate monitoring, reporting, and management tasks within the Active Directory and Entra ID environments, ensuring operational efficiency and reliability.
What You'll Bring:
- Proven track record in administering and resolving issues within Active Directory and Entra ID environments across complex, large-scale global infrastructures.
- Support for Domain Controllers and Windows operating systems, administration of Quest tools, and management of patching processes.
- Demonstrable expertise in PowerShell scripting and automation, with the ability to design, implement, and refine scripts that streamline complex administrative tasks within Active Directory and Entra ID environments.
- Comprehensive understanding of Group Policy Management, with the ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot GPOs.
- Strong knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM): experience with principles and practices for managing user identities, authentication protocols, and access controls within hybrid or cloud-integrated environments.
- Expertise in troubleshooting and root cause analysis: advanced diagnostic skills to resolve complex issues related to replication, authentication failures, DNS integration, and trust relationships in multi-site infrastructures.
- Experience with security best practices: proficiency in monitoring and remediating security vulnerabilities, implementing least privilege access models, and auditing directory changes for compliance and risk mitigation.
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery strategies: skill in designing and executing robust backup, restore, and recovery plans for Active Directory.
