Data Engineer Position

The Data Team builds the Loft:

The challenges you will face:

• Design, evolve, and operate batch and streaming data pipelines in GCP;
• Ingest data with Airflow/Cloud Composer, templatization, Airbyte, and Stitch;
• Model data and establish data contracts for analytical and ML cases;
• Ensure quality, reliability, and observability with tests, metrics, alerts, and SLOs;
• Orchestrate processes with Cloud Composer (Airflow) and standardize CI/CD;
• Implement security and governance (IAM, KMS/CMEK, DLP, VPC-SC) and good FinOps practices;
• Collaborate with Product/Analytics/ML and mentor team members;

What do you need to be successful?

• Seniority: 6+ years in data engineering and 3+ years with GCP in production;
• Proficiency in GCP: BigQuery (advanced SQL, partitioning/clustering), Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, GCS, Cloud Run);
• Experience with Spark (Dataproc) and/or dbt in production;
• Programming in Python with tests; advanced SQL and performance tuning;
• Orchestration and data quality (Airflow/Cloud Composer);
• Infrastructure as code (Terraform) and CI/CD (Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, or similar);
• Data security and governance (IAM, KMS/CMEK, DLP, VPC-SC), audit, and LGPD;
• Experience with observability, SLIs/SLOs, and incident response;
• Hands-on profile and clear communication.
