Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineering Manager to join the Responsive Flight Solutions (RFS) Demos team within IGNITE, initially supporting the Lynx program. The RFS Demos team has a portfolio of on-orbit technology/mission demonstration programs. The RFS Demos group is structured to have an execution-focused SEIT core team for each program that is responsible for the entire program life cycle, from conception through post-launch support. The successful candidate will be responsible for the system engineering effort on a multi-year development program, working in close collaboration with the Program Manager, Program Chief Engineer, Space Vehicle and Payload IPT Leads, and program leadership. • Knowledge in spacecraft architecture, design and integration
• Experience integrating subsystems and/or components to meet system and/or subsystem requirements
• Experience in a formal leadership role
• Ability to absorb technical detail and logically formulate solutions for execution on constrained schedule
• Strong communication skills and experience with building working relationships across internal and external teams
• Experience defining and implementing systems engineering processes appropriate to mission class and risk posture
• Experience in Class C/D, IRAD, or "go-fast" development environment
• Experience identifying and managing risks, including targeted risk reduction
• Demonstrated Systems Thinking, including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities, establish and maintain a big picture mindset, and assess design decision impacts
