Our team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) team at Lockheed Martin, is dedicated to engineering, developing, and integrating new capabilities for the Missile Defense System that protects the United States and its allies. While we are part of a large organization, we operate within smaller, agile teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Our responsibilities include Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security, and enhancing critical missile defense technologies.
This is a Systems Engineer position the successful candidate will perform use case development, and prepare systems engineering artifacts to implement customer requested capabilities. Support the development and review of interface documents, system requirements, Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) development, architectural documentation, system engineering estimates, and author and perform formal and informal engineering reviews. Work under general direction, and results are reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives; failure to achieve results normally results in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources; frequent internal and external customer contacts and represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects. Additional responsibilities include reviewing the content and details of technical products, and acting as a technical interface to MDA working level counterparts on an as-required basis. Please Note: The role will involve approximately 10% travel to customer sites throughout the U.S. Candidate must have a SECRET clearance to start with the ability to obtain a TS Clearance with SCI eligibility. Both TS and IAT Level 2 are desired but not required.

•DOORs and MBSE experience
•The selected applicant should possess the ability to be part of an integrated Systems Engineering team tasked with developing and maintaining the physical, functional, and technical requirements necessary to describe the desired capabilities of an evolving MDS Command & Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) system.
•Experience in mission analysis with skill in development of use cases, and sequence diagrams.
•Skills in logical architecture modeling and/or interface definition, as well as knowledge of cyber security concepts and security accreditation are highly desirable.
•Ability to be flexible to support various tasking on short notice.
•Experience leading teams to establish a system engineering baseline for a given capability is desired.
•Experience with other Space Domain and Missile Defense Systems is highly desired.
•Experience with Agile Methods, and Capability and Feature definition is a significant plus.

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
