Today's challenge is to support the modernization of the Minuteman Weapon System by crafting, building, testing and deploying new Reentry Systems and Ground Equipment that will enable the new system to perform for many years to come. This critical mission area has to be done right, pass meticulous certifications and last for many years to come. As a Systems Engineer for the Program you will directly help establish the technical solution and overall system design for one of our country's most vital and sophisticated strategic Systems! In this role you typically will:

• Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions

• Establish system architecture and CONOPS, perform system trades and analysis, flow down the architecture and CONOPS into requirements and interfaces, and support verification planning

• Use your excellent communication skills to work across the Lockheed Martin organization and customer/user community to ensure consensus and understanding of solutions

• Use the latest in MBSE tools (Cameo) and processes to generate synergistic models to establish linkages across verification artifacts and requirements

• Be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and releasing requirements specification documents, including defining the requirements and verification baseline

• Support requirements and verification team projects and coordinate regularly with key partners to maintain program objectives

• Quickly become a proficient independent contributor with DOORS database and apply systems engineering change control process to retain control of the requirements

• Develop and maintain .dxl and VBA_Interface scripts for producing documents and reports from the DOORS database

• Utilize ePDM, collaborator, and DOORS to implement change control of the DOORS database

• Bachelors degree in a related subject area

• Systems engineering experience or relevant systems engineering training through a university or certificate program

• Design and test experience in a subsystem or discipline outside of Systems Engineering

• Familiarity or proficiency with the following engineering tools: [Cameo DOORS]

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, synergetic team environment

• Demonstrated basic understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors

• Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or disciplines outside of Systems Engineering

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build solid relationships with team members

• Script modification and development, preferably with DOORS

• Experience with ePDM and change processes

• Ability to define and document solutions to complex problems and to convey solutions to both senior management and to other internal/external teams

• Demonstrated basic understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors

• Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or disciplines outside of Systems Engineering

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build solid relationships with team members

• Top Secret Clearance

Employee will work on-site full-time

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

9x80 every other Friday off
