The Engineering & Technology organization is a highly dynamic and growing organization that plays a vital role in providing mission-critical solutions to our customers. Come be a part of the development of the new Long Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW). Join the Lockheed Martin team and be a part of the company that has developed and flown more hypersonic vehicles than any other U.S. Company and has decades of hypersonic development and flight test experience from government contracts as well as internal investments in research and development projects. This position is for a software engineer to support the LRHW software organization. You will help code, develop, and innovate technical solutions for soldier utilized ground systems. This position requires strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. This position will interface with software developers, test engineers, system engineers, program management, quality assurance engineers, and customer representatives. Specific duties will include:

• Support as Systems Engineer of record for a defined product
• Organize and plan the development activities for the product
• Support test development and integration with vendor development
• Support earned value management of supplier
• Test document and planning development
• Coordinate supplier development alongside tactical configuration changes

A successful candidate for this role will typically have a Bachelors degree with 5+ years of related professional work experience.

Communicating project progress and status to stakeholders

Defining and prioritizing product requirements

Ensuring that the solution meets the needs of stakeholders and customers

Active or Current DoD Secret or higher security clearance with investigation in the last 5 years

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
