Our team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) National Team (NT) at Lockheed Martin, is dedicated to engineering, developing, and integrating new capabilities for the Missile Defense System that protects the United States and its allies. Our responsibilities include Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security, and enhancing critical missile defense technologies.
The System Test Team is responsible for planning and analyzing every MDS ground and flight test in which the C2BMC program participates. Ground‑test activities span pairwise testing, Continuous Developmental Integration (CDI), Integrated Ground Test (GTI), Distributed Ground Test (GTD), cyber tests, Space Domain Awareness (SDA) exercises, and pre‑flight hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HWIL) efforts. Flight tests are executed with predetermined sensors and shooters, while international events combine a variety of ground and flight tests.
The System Integration Engineer integrates Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) hardware and software into testbeds and operational systems; conducts full system checkouts of virtual machines, networks, and message flows; works with various internal and external entities across the Missile Defense System (MDS) to test, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system issues; authors test plans and procedures; write Problem Reports to document issues; provides feedback to Developers; creates and modifies scripts to extract specific information from log files; performs data analysis of input/output and internal message traffic; operates and troubleshoots C2BMC systems during test events and integration activities, and supports meetings with National Team groups, other MDS elements, and Government customers.
This position requires a government security clearance at the Secret level; you must be a US Citizen for consideration. This position is located at Schriever, Space Force Base 10 miles east of Colorado Springs, CO and is 100% onsite. Non-standard work hours may be required on occasion, depending on test or fielding schedules. This position may require travel to fielded sites as well as National Team locations (e.g., Huntsville, HWY83).
As leader of the C2BMC team, Lockheed Martin directs a partnership of highly responsive industry leaders developing and fielding the backbone of America's missile defense. Together, this national team supports the design, development, test, integration and fielding of hardware and software elements that enable the Missile Defense System (MDS) to function effectively and continually. As a C2BMC National Team member, you will also have the opportunity to interface with our key customers in the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and you will collaborate with a team of technical professionals including software and systems engineers, architects, and our project engineering team.

• Self-starter with good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills and an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment with the Government customer as well as personnel internal and external to the program.
• Technical knowledge of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Missile Defense System (MDS) including sensors, shooters, command and control systems, and networks.
• Prior integration and test experience within the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program.
• Experience with Agile Methodologies; creation and management of capabilities, features, and PRs.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $73,400 - $129,260. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
