You will be responsible for developing system level artifacts and engaging with customers, mission partners, and other stakeholders to satisfy and fulfill customer directed objectives As a member of the Systems Engineering team you will:

• Perform in an accelerated, collaborative, dynamic small team environment, closely integrated with customers and contractors

• Ensure consistency of requirements and traceability back to customer objectives

• Perform requirements verification to ensure the system is able to meet customer needs

• Support the successful execution of program Interim Design Reviews

• Development of systems engineering documentation such as feature description documents, trade studies, Interface Control Documents.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree.

• Domain Experience and Understanding of one of the following: Command and Control (C2), Mission Management, Planning and Scheduling, Orbital Mechanics, SSA (Space Situational Awareness)

• Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and proficiency with SysML and Cameo

• Experience with modern engineering practices such as Cross-Functional Agile teams and Capability-based planning

• Experience developing Operations Procedures and training materials

• Experience with Systems Engineering tools such as JIRA, and Confluence

• Ability to interact with software developers to ensure mission requirements are satisfied

• Active TS/SCI security clearance

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
