You will be a Software Engineer for the Common Real Time Executive (CORE) team. Our team is responsible for the development, maintenance and support of common simulation software infrastructure products utilized by the Aeronautics Simulation and System Integration Labs (SSL) department in support of all Aeronautics Lines of Business. What You Will Be Doing: As a Software Engineer on the CORE team, you will responsible for the design, development, integration, test and deployment of simulation software products. Your responsibilities will include:

• Working as a member of a cross-site team to plan and implement new capabilities.
• Designing and developing infrastructure capabilities and tools using C++, Python and Java and object oriented techniques.
• Integrating, testing and supporting deployed CORE software in Hardware-in-the-Loop and Man-in-the-Loop simulation systems.

You will need to be a US Citizen, and currently possess and be able to maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Desired skills:

• Experience with containerized development environments (i.e. Docker, Kubernetes, Podman)
• Knowledge of Redhat Package Manager (RPM)
• Five or more years of experience in C++, Python and/or Java programming
• Five or more years of experience using Object-Oriented Design techniques.
• Experience with JIRA
• Experience with Gitlab
• Familiarity with simulation systems (Hardware-in-the-Loop or Man-in-the-Loop)
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $113,900 - $200,905. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
