Software Engineer Staff - Level 4

This is an opportunity to work on the Simulation and Systems Labs (SSL) Systems Engineering team. SSLT is a highly innovative team responsible for developing, testing and maintaining aircraft simulation systems and subsystems utilized for aircraft capability integration and weapons systems development from concept design through production and delivery. What You Will Be Doing: As a Software Engineer on our team, you will work on multiple Air Mobility and Maritime Missions (AMMM) projects, designing and developing software models in a simulation environment. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Utilizing standard engineering practices to develop models for complex software systems and applications

• Collaborating within a cross-functional team, including systems engineering, operations engineering, hardware engineering, and project leadership to facilitate in technical discussions and estimates

• Deriving and applying knowledge of various avionics, navigation, and communication Interface Control Documents

• Developing modern Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) to integrate into simulation environments, providing an intuitive and user-friendly experience for operators and users

• Developing innovative solutions to integrate components that have not been previously used together, often requiring outside-the-box thinking

This position is in Marietta, GA.

You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $113,900 - $200,905. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
