The work: In this role, you will serve as an experienced Software Engineering professional, specializing in release planning and coordination, software release management, Program Trouble Report (PTR) management and coordination for all aspects of RMS Software Engineering efforts for Naval Helicopter Programs (NHP). Your responsibilities will include:

• Define and manage branch/merge strategies for all software NHP baselines and configurations
• Represent the software organization on the Baseline Management team, managing software releases of all NHP baselines and configurations
• Primary software interface with our naval customer
• Software metrics collection, analysis, and presentation to the customer
• Build and manage software sub-product build-ups into our deliverable product to the customer
• Overall software PTR coordination
• Manage and maintain NHP software processes and procedures
• Ensure software team is adhering to documented NHP software processes and procedures
• Provide input and support for cost, schedule, and technical performance goals for NHP software

This position is based out of Owego, NY. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.

This role is for a Software Engineer within the IWSS Mission Systems Integrated Engineering Team. The department supports Naval Helicopter Programs and is responsible for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the MH-60R and MH-60S subsystem capabilities. This position will be responsible for ensuring the technical quality, cost, and schedule commitments are met while leading complementary teams. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of the software development lifecycle, software verification, and working on cross-functional teams.
