The Work

Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Software Engineer. In this role, you will perform software development tasks supporting Navy programs. The successful candidate will have experience and knowledge of coding in Java/C++ on a Linux Operating System. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate will be required to hold an active government Secret security clearance.

Desired skills:

• Java multithreading experience
• Database experience (Mongo, Postgres, or other)
• Inter-process messaging middleware experience (gRPC, Artemis)
• JavaFx/ Java Swing experience
• RxJava or familiarity with related technologies (Kotlin Coroutines, Flow)
• Familiar with performance optimization and evaluation tools (JVisualVM, JConsole, JProfiler)
• Experience with containerization or orchestration technologies
• Basic understanding of Agile Full software life-cycle development
• Experience developing scripts using Bash
• 3+ years of a combination of Linux, scripting/software development, and configuration management experience
