As an advanced-career RF Engineer with Lockheed Martin Space, you will perform the following:

• Support multiple phases of RF product lifecycle including design, development, test, and deployment
• Engage with other leaders and Subject Matter Experts to participate in design reviews and provide feedback/input on RF systems and hardware designs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful development and deployment of RF systems and hardware
• Example assignments include Design, test, and troubleshoot RF hardware systems, including prototype and deliverable hardware.

Significant experience in Performance / trade analysis, RF Communications Systems, Antenna Design, RF Test/Evaluation, and System-level RF performance analysis

Ability to engage with leaders, subject matter experts, and individual contributors to develop successful RF communication systems and hardware designs

Ability to actively listen and collaborate with cross-functional teams

RF Signal Processing experience desired

Beam formation experience desired

Antenna Multipaction / Corona experience desired

Matlab and/or Python Scripting and analysis desired

Familiarity with RF test software and tools

RF prototyping experience

RF Systems Engineer background in RF PNT, NS, and TT&C systems

Fundamental understanding of antenna theory and design

Understands the effects of dynamic antenna gain and phase changes on GPS receiver performance

RF design experience including knowledge of power amplifiers, microwave integrated circuit design and RF measurement techniques

Experience with RF parts selection and evaluation

Demonstrated understanding of RF test equipment (Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generator, etc.)

Ability to design and plan for designs to experience flight environments (vibration, temperature, multipaction, corona)

Vendor interface experience, including evaluating vendor solutions

Vendor spec writing and procurement experience

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $145,200 - $255,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
