Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a STEM related field with some professional experience or equivalent combined education and experience. Knowledge of quality standards and methodologies: MIL-STD-1913, Six Sigma, Lean, Statistical Process Control (SPC). Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and technical requirements. Proficiency with measurement equipment (CMM, calipers, laser trackers, gauges) and data-analysis tools (Minitab, JMP, Excel). Proficiency with root-cause analysis techniques (5 Why, Fishbone, Fault Tree). Lean Practitioner. Experience with facilitation of Root Cause and Corrective Action in a cross functional team. Familiarity with manufacturing or production documentation and failure reporting. Strong written/oral communication; capable of presenting to diverse teams from other Business Areas and Senior Leadership. Experience in disposition of non-conforming products. Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration.
You will be the Quality Engineer Staff for the Quality Engineering Team. Our team is responsible for leading Tiger Team efforts for the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM) production, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring aerospace quality standards across Lockheed Martin sites and suppliers.
