Quality Engineer Sr - Japan (EXPAT)

You will be the Quality Engineer Senior supporting the PAC-3 Japan program at the Certified Round Assembly Facility (CRAF) in Taketoyo, Japan. Our team is responsible for ensuring the quality of PAC-3 missile systems and subassemblies.

What You Will Be Doing As the Quality Engineer Senior, you will be responsible for leading quality engineering efforts, including production testing, inspections, and troubleshooting of PAC-3 missile systems and subassemblies. You will also provide quality engineering support for non-conforming material evaluations and dispositions. Your responsibilities will include:

• Production testing and inspections of PAC-3 missile systems and subassemblies
• Maintaining calibration cycles for test equipment and tooling
• Troubleshooting of unit failures and test equipment issues
• Quality engineering support for non-conforming material evaluations and dispositions
• Performing First Article Inspections (FAI) and security audits
• Documenting test failures and defects using SAP systems

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.

• STEM degree at bachelors level or higher preferred (Examples: Mechanical or Electrical Engineering) • Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification. • SAP application experience processing Q-notes & S-notes. • Apriso application experience processing Corrective Action Plans and other necessary tools • Prior MRBE experience with UUT failures. • Prior experience with PAC-3 missile assembly. • Experience troubleshooting PAC-3 missile test failures and/or experience with the PAC-3 Missile Test Set (MTS).

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $81,600 - $143,865. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
