This position is for the Fleet Ballistic Missiles (FBM) program, one of Lockheed Martin's best-in-class Lines of Businesses that prioritizes partnership, integrity and reliability. We are looking for a dynamic project engineer to join our tight-knit group. This position is for a Long Range Planning Lead in the Structures IPT that both collaborates well in a team environment and has excellent communication skills. In this role, you will have numerous opportunities to represent the Structures IPT with our Navy partner, LM leadership, and suppliers, with many opportunities for career development along the way. The Structures IPT is responsible for the development, manufacture, and management of the Missile Structures hardware. As part of our team, you will be responsible for leading and maintaining the Structures Cost Model. This model estimates the projected costs for Structures IPT through the entire life of the program spanning decades. In addition, the development and updating of the long range program life IMS goes hand in hand with the long range cost model. Interaction and integration with the FBM LE2 Modernization Strategic Planning team and the Navy customer will be key aspects of this position. These efforts and critical in determining long range and future budget needs for the program and integration, support and hand off to the proposal teams will be required. As a key team member of the Structures IPT execution team you will also support the over all performance of the team. AS A VALUED MEMBER OF OUR TEAM YOU WILL:

Desired skills:

• Missile and/or aerospace related education or experience
• Experience in Government RFP response
• Engineering background or experience leading an engineering team as a project lead/CAM
• Experience in areas of cost analysis, schedule, and risk & opportunity management
• Experience and desire to brief senior LM and Government leaders

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
