Possess and apply expert level of understanding of documentation requirements, military standards and subsequent styles, including but not limited to S1000D and 40051. Collaborate with engineers/subject matter experts to understand Prime Mission Equipment (PME) technical updates; advise as an SME of technical data and build technical knowledge necessary to complete tasking from trainers/SMEs/Engineers. Organize, task and review the contracted writers who support the BLQ-10 program, ensuring external employees understand and author to program requirements and provide instructional guidance on manual building and completion. Oversee a team of internal technical writers on location, ensuring quality control over the products and collaborate with cross functional teams, including virtual groups, to gather technical data, resolve content ambiguities, and improve processes. Organize and delegate work through JIRA processes and story boards, ensuring process adherence and material archiving for future program use. Support the development, updates and maintenance of Contract Deliverable Requirements List (CDRL), including the publication and delivery of IETMs and technical publication data sets to the customer. Attend, oversee and organize customer meetings and events, identifying options for product line publications; support customer meetings and events by presenting the current status of IETM or validation events of the material on systems. Support training and on-boarding of new authors and leads on IETM tools, product, authoring requirements, and publishing, ensuring they know what software and tools are required to perform their duties. Support authoring technical content and material as needed to meet deadlines and milestone events, ensure quality and support other technical writers and contributing to 100 percent on time delivery record.
