The work: Seeking candidates to fill the position of F-35 Pilot Flight Equipment (PFE) Field Engineer. The PFE Field Engineer for the F-35 PFE sustainment organization will provide direct maintenance along with a team of employees, functioning in F-35 PFE technical support roles for field sustainment back shop operations at NAS Fallon, NV. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the NAS Fallon PFE Field Engineer Site Lead with daily operations and site sustainment needs. Additionally, the candidate selected for this role will be expected to become familiarized on the full spectrum of F-35 PFE product line, current operational processes and procedures for field operations sites as well as PFE sustainment operations with the PFE/SE integrated product team. Must be able and willing to adapt to the constantly changing operational characteristics of the F-35 PFE/SE Sustainment operation as program needs mature over time. Work location for this position will be Naval Air Station NAS Fallon, NV. Job may require flexible work schedule to provide coverage for on-site customer requirements, to include possibility of weekend work requirements. Some travel for this position may be required.

Desired skills: Military flight-line ALSS / PFE / AFE / PR maintenance experience. Familiarity with DoD maintenance manuals. Background in military or civilian PFE sustainment operations. Proficient in industry standard maintenance practices. Experience using engineering drawings and technical data (JTD). PFE data management experience. Knowledge of industrial and aircraft maintenance safety standards. Professional focused on mission success.
