Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an Mechanism Manufacturing Engineer in Kennedy Space Center, Florida to plan and author procedures for the Orion Spacecraft Elements Team and provide floor support for Mechanical and Electrical Integration environments. The applicant will perform specific duties to include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs various duties including creating and/or developing mechanical manufacturing work instructions.
  • Determines the sequence of build, selecting or designing required tools, and solves production problems during the build of mechanical piece parts and assemblies.
  • Assists in investigating design/manufacturing factors such as equipment or part availability, manufacturability, ease of assembly, and large assembly management.
  • Develops and maintains all assembly documentation.
  • Troubleshoots/corrects anomalies and discrepant hardware.
  • Performs producibility reviews on engineering designs/drawings to assess manufacturability, ease of assembly, and material availability.
  • Routinely interfaces with program personnel and reports project status to leadership.
  • Ability to work Sunday through Thursday is required for this role.
