The Operations Systems and Modeling AI team at Lockheed Martin Aerospace is seeking a data scientist analyst who will play a key role in developing, deploying, and maintaining AI-based solutions tailored for production operations. This position focuses on applying advanced artificial intelligence techniques to solve complex operational challenges, delivering impactful results that enhance efficiency and drive productivity. This position will be responsible for overseeing development and deployment of AI solutions, big data analysis, and front-end development for AI and results based applications.

What You Will Be Doing In this role you will assist in the development and testing of AI applications that support production‑operations use cases, collaborating with senior engineers to apply sound software‑development practices that promote code quality and scalability. Participate in gathering and documenting requirements from production teams, translating key operational challenges into functional specifications. Contribute to front‑end development efforts, building intuitive user interfaces that enable end-users to interact with AI‑driven tools effectively. Perform data extraction, cleaning, and exploratory analysis on large‑volume production datasets to support model training and performance monitoring. Help deploy AI solutions in pilot environments, provide basic user training, and gather feedback to drive incremental improvements. Support change‑management activities by communicating updates to end‑users and ensuring that the tools remain maintainable, adaptable, and aligned with future operation needs.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $86,100 - $151,800. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
