The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for planning, deploying, integrating, and testing upgrades to the C2BMC network to operational sites. This will include conducting research on different networking and security-related topics, producing reports on findings, and ensuring that team devices are STIG-compliant and hardened appropriately.
As leader of the C2BMC team, Lockheed Martin directs a partnership of highly responsive industry leaders developing and fielding the backbone of America's missile defense. Together, this national team supports the design, development, test, integration, and fielding of hardware and software elements that enable the Missile Defense System (MDS) to function effectively and continually. You will also have the opportunity to interface with our key customers in the Missile Defense Agency.
You are a highly skilled network security engineer with a strong background in developing cyber-secure network device configurations and experience with DoD RMF standards. You have excellent writing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to leadership.

• Active Final Secret Clearance is required prior to starting
• IAT Level II (8570) Compliant Certification such as Security+CE, CASP+CE, GSEC, SSCP, CND, GICSP, etc.
• Understanding of the OSI Model, TCP/IP, VLANs, UDP Multicast, and firewall configuration knowledge such as Juniper, Cisco, Palo Alto
• Experienced in application of standard DOD security practices such as, STIG compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts
• Must have proven experience in developing Cyber-secure Network device configurations
• Ability to travel to alternate work locations, such as Schriever Space Force Base, to execute job duties such as deployments
• Scripting knowledge in Python, Ansible, PowerShell
• Solid understanding of JUNOS
• Prior C2BMC experience
• Intermediate knowledge of security design, development, and testing methodologies
• Experience with virtualization and VMware and ESXi STIGing/Hardening
• Ability to learn security hardening basics for a wide range of niche products, software, and applications
• Ability to summarize, brief, and recommend solutions to security issues to leadership
• Advanced network security certifications (e.g. Cisco CCNP, GSEC, SSCP, CISSP, CEH)
• Must be familiar with NIST CVE framework

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765.
