The Work

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for applying principles, theories, and concepts to provide imaginative and thorough solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. You will work under general direction, with results reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Your responsibilities will include administering GitLab, ensuring proper documentation and reporting, executing data management utilizing existing program tools, and assisting with release management as required.

Together, this national team supports the design, development, test, integration and fielding of hardware and software elements that enable the Missile Defense System (MDS) to function effectively and continually. You will also have the opportunity to interface with our key customers in the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

Who You Are

You are a highly motivated and experienced Network DevOps Engineer (aka Full Stack Engineer) with a strong background in developing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipeline tools. You have excellent communication and writing skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office products, and experience with GitLab and GitLab concepts. You are detail-oriented, with the ability to follow processes, and proficient in Python.

Desired Skills

• A Computer Science Degree • Experience working with Jira and Confluence • Experience creating and updating processes and procedures • Experience working with automation tools such as Ansible • Developing KPIs and tracking metrics, with experience creating reports • Experience working in a DoD environment • Prior experience with C2BMC • Effective communication and writing skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office products (especially PowerPoint and Visio) • Detail-oriented with the ability to follow processes

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
