Lockheed Martin is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Associate in Orlando, FL. You will be the Mechanical Engineering Design supporting development and production of sensors and missile systems. What You Will Be Doing: As the Mechanical Engineering Designer Asc, you will be responsible for supporting the Integrated Product Team in creating detailed designs, layouts, and drawings for various components and subassemblies. You will play a key role in developing and generating CREO layouts, detailed drawings, and design documentation, ensuring seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and generating CREO layouts and detailed drawings for ICDs, components, sub-assemblies, assemblies, and integration test articles
- Building BOMs, creating parts, assemblies, and design documentation within Windchill PLM
- Coordinating with the IPT team, suppliers, GSC, electronic packaging, optics, and structural/thermal/material analysts to ensure design excellence
- Managing drawing releases, responding to CRs, generating CN's, and presenting/supporting change boards and design reviews
- Performing design trade studies to evaluate cost, weight, performance, and structural/thermal benefits
Hands-on experience with machining, rapid prototyping, or lab equipment (CNC, 3‑D printers, test rigs) Experienced with GD&T, sketching, technical drawing standards, or similar hands-on hardware support. Participation in engineering clubs, competitions (e.g. SAE, ASME competitions). Basic understanding of industry standards (ISO, ASME, ASTM). Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
