Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Project Engineer | Lockheed Martin

Our Lockheed Martin Enterprise Operations team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer to work across Lockheed Martin Business Areas (BAs) to understand manufacturing execution system (MES) requirements and capabilities. The successful candidate will align and harmonize common requirements and processes across BAs, generate functional specifications, and collaborate with IT developers to support the development, testing, and deployment of MES capabilities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with stakeholders across multiple Business Areas to understand MES requirements and capabilities
  • Align and harmonize common requirements and processes across BAs
  • Translate business requirements and capabilities into functional specifications
  • Collaborate with IT developers to support the development of MES capabilities
  • Test and validate MES capabilities prior to deployment into production
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment and adoption of MES solutions
  • Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including leadership, technical teams, and customers
  • Communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders

Note: This role is fully remote. There is no expectation or requirement to live near a LM site or be onsite on any recurring frequency. However, significant travel will be required situationally to meet program needs. Expect 25% - 75% travel. US citizenship is required.

Desired skills:

  • Experience with functional specification development
  • Experience with developing and deploying new software tools into production
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and IT project management
  • Experience leading or working on a scrum team in an Agile environment
  • Significant experience with Lockheed Martin Manufacturing processes

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
