Manufacturing Engineer

Join the Manufacturing Engineering group in the Lockheed Martin Sensor Integration and Test Center. What you will be doing includes:

• Translating complex engineering blueprints and parts lists into easy to follow, all-encompassing work instructions for the mechanics/assemblers on the production floor.
• Improving the overall process of the build using complex, cutting edge technologies and automation.
• Exercising your technical background to solve complex problems with troubleshooting and new development of processes for ever changing products being built in our factory.
• Other job functions include RCCA, Lean Six Sigma improvement efforts, as well as developing process improvements in order to lower cost, increase quality, and deliver a better, repeatable product faster.

Further information about this opportunity: This position is in Orlando. Must be a U.S. citizen - this position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired skills include: experience writing technical work instructions, ability to work in a cross functional, teaming environment, detailed knowledge of GD&T SAP, knowledge of Lean Six Sigma manufacturing concepts and techniques, CREO/ProE experience with a focus on tool design, experience working with electro-mechanical and/or optical assemblies.

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. This position supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

This position is full-time and requires working onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The work schedule is 4x10 hour days, 3 days off per week.
