We are seeking someone with senior level GNC engineering knowledge to join us in the capacity of Guidance, Navigation, & Control Engineer (Staff, Level IV). In this role you will be tasked with GN&C analysis, modelling and simulation work associated with operating a spacecraft in Mars orbit. This mission is critical for providing relay support of Mars rovers as well as collecting science data that is redefining what we know of the red planet.

What you will be doing:

  • Leading a small team of GN&C engineers to enable optimal performance of the attitude control and attitude determination systems of a Mars orbiting spacecraft.
  • Simulating and trending spacecraft pointing stability and pointing accuracy.
  • Preparing and reviewing guidance navigation and control command sequences executed by the spacecraft.
  • Maintaining spacecraft orbit knowledge and ephemeris.
  • Problem solving spacecraft guidance navigation and control anomalies.

Successful applicants generally have at least 5+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline, such as Aerospace Engineering or other related discipline emphasizing control system design and analysis.
