Within Space Security area, the Black Canyon program is a new and growing program, and we are looking to expand our team of dedicated full stack software engineers to meet our Customer's needs. Our team will be working to develop and integrate existing software with newly developed components and user interfaces to provide our customer with a much needed capability. We are developing cloud native components using modern software tools and practices. As a member of the software scrum team, you'll be contributing to implementing the software features to create these new systems, and the work will include areas such as defining and implementing application programming interfaces (APIs) as part of the microservices architecture. Utilizing software development best practices, such as modern web frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and automated unit tests, you will work together to provide a cloud system that meets enterprise milestones. Black Canyon provides a unique opportunity to join a program on the ground floor and to play a part in design and development of capabilities that will be used daily by our customer organization. You will have the opportunity to be a part of the entire software engineering lifecycle. Please note that this program is classified and the position is full-time, on-site, in King of Prussia, PA, with occasional opportunities to work from home.
Desired skills:
• 3+ years of professional front end development experience with React (hooks, functional components) or Angular (components, services, RxJS)
• Deep understanding of client side architecture and best practices for performance, accessibility, and responsive design
• Proven expertise in state management (e.g., Redux, MobX, NgRx, Context API, RxJS) and ability to design scalable, maintainable data flows
• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox/Grid, preprocessors/Sass), and modern JavaScript/TypeScript standards (ES6+)
• Experience building single page applications (SPAs) with routing, lazy loading, and code splitting techniques
• Familiarity with UI component libraries (Material UI, Ant Design, Bootstrap) and ability to create custom, reusable components
• Comfortable writing unit and integration tests for UI code (Jest, React Testing Library, Karma/Jasmine) and using CI pipelines for front end validation
• Ability to collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, back end engineers, and product owners to translate requirements into polished UI features
• Strong problem solving mindset, attention to detail, and commitment to code quality (linters, style guides, code reviews)
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude toward learning emerging front end technologies and trends.
