Aeronautical Engineer

Experienced engineer supporting the F-35 Landing and Arresting Gear System team. Primary responsibilities include: coordination and integration with the landing gear vendor, coordination with the F-35 customer (Joint Program Office), support sustainment of these systems with evaluation of component issues/failures in the fleet, participation in change process for Class I and II changes, and participation in affordability initiatives. This position will provide significant exposure to landing gear operations, field failure resolution, supplier technical coordination, and design change implementation process.

Highly motivated individual with the ability to learn continuously and the ability to identify multiple avenues to successfully reach team goals. Candidate must work well individually and with team members across multiple organizations. Strong mechanical ability with desire to build root cause investigation skills. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
