Level 3 Operations Support Apprentice – AMETEK Land

The Role:

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Operations Support Apprentice to join our team at LAND Instruments International Limited.

In this role, you will gain hands-on experience across several key areas of our Operations function, including:

  • Planning: Supporting the alignment of incoming customer orders.
  • Purchasing: Raising and monitoring external supplier requisitions.
  • Supply Chain & Production: Assisting with stock management, SAP system maintenance, and finished goods movements.

This apprenticeship offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills, work with experienced professionals, and learn about our innovative products and services within a global organisation.

Main Duties:

  • Planning of both internal and external sourced materials
  • Align production plans in order to support the customer order requirements
  • Monitor the flow of materials as required to support the production plan
  • Review critical component stock availability
  • Align with the production leadership to schedule the production plan
  • Review stock levels across finished goods and sub-assemblies
  • Interface with all business areas, ensuring effective communication is achieved
  • Promote and support Right first time Quality culture.
  • Ensure that all relevant Health & Safety policies and procedures are observed.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as required by the business

The Candidate:

  • Detail-oriented, possess a high level of accuracy and organisation
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritise in a dynamic environment
  • Initiative: Taking ownership of our work, doing what is needed without being asked, following through.
  • Communication: Ability to effectively communicate, influence and motivate others. Listens effectively and demonstrates understanding of what has been communicated.

They will also have:

  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • IT Literate – O365
  • A high level of commitment, initiative, and self-motivation is essential in this role
  • Good communication skills to liaise effectively across internal departments and external suppliers.

Training and Development:

As an apprentice, you will receive support through both on-the-job learning and formal training as part of your apprenticeship programme. This will typically include:

  • Study towards a relevant qualification, Level 3 Business Administrator Diploma.
  • On-the-job training and mentoring from experienced professionals.
  • Regular review meetings to track progress and development.

Potential full-time employment for the right candidate upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
