HISTORY

LIV Golf launched in 2022 as an eight-event Invitational Series with tournaments across the U.S., Europe and Asia. 2023 saw the first official season of the LIV Golf League, establishing the sport’s first professional golf teams captained by many of the game’s most decorated superstars competing in 14 events around the world.

The format respects golf’s history and traditions with updates for modern-day sports fans; three days, 54 holes, no cut, shotgun start, and simultaneous team and individual competitions, offering a faster tournament that drives engaging storylines and offers an immersive fan experience. The League’s award-winning events, each wholly owned and operated by LIV Golf and broadcast to over 500 million homes worldwide, showcase world-class competition within a family-friendly environment. Music entertainment, live concerts and a festival-style atmosphere play a signature role with LIV Golf, a two-time winner of the World’s Best Golf Event from the World Golf Awards and a Sports Business Awards Finalist for Sports Event of the Year.

LIV Golf continues to expand its reach by bringing the League to new and returning markets featuring some of the most iconic venues in the world. Role Objective

Reporting to the General Manager, the Teams Marketing Senior Manager is responsible for delivering a community of loyal fans who care deeply about the 4Aces GC Team. Through the development and execution of innovative and comprehensive fan engagement strategies, the Teams Marketing Senior Manager will build and scale the 4Aces GC Team's following, leveraging marketing, branding, communications, social media, content, and other promotional initiatives to drive demand and commercial interest.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Vision: Establish the Team’s short and long-term marketing strategies, identifying target audience segments and leveraging paid, earned, and owned media to achieve business objectives.

  • Brand Development: Devise and execute strategic plans to fortify and elevate the Team’s brand, ensuring a consistent and compelling brand identity across all touchpoints.

  • Creative Leadership: Manage graphic design resources to deliver engaging and impactful designs consistent with the Team’s brand identity.

  • Fan Engagement: Devise campaigns and interactive opportunities to actively engage fans, leveraging the Team’s brand and player profiles to foster a sense of community.

  • Loyalty Program: Lead the Team’s loyalty program, driving sign-ups and participation to enhance fan connection and commitment.

  • Social Media and Content Strategy: In collaboration with the Social Media Manager, set the strategic direction for social media and content initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall marketing objectives and cohesive brand positioning across channels.

  • Integrated Digital Presence: Create an integrated digital presence, spanning social media, website, email marketing, and other relevant online platforms.

  • Influencer Strategy: Develop and execute influencer marketing strategies, identifying and collaborating with relevant influencers to amplify brand reach, drive engagement, and foster authentic connections with the Team’s target audience.

  • Retail Strategy: Design and execute a merchandise and apparel strategy, leveraging the Team's product offering to enhance fan loyalty and drive revenue.

  • Impact: Lead the Team’s impact initiatives from concept to execution, aligning the Team’s brand with community outreach programs, sustainability efforts, and philanthropic projects.

  • Digital Advertising: Develop data-driven, ROI-focused digital advertising campaigns to attract and engage a larger and more dedicated fan base, improve sponsorship opportunities, and drive commercial revenue.

  • Collaborative Leadership: Collaborate cross-functionally with LIV communications, social media, and marketing, ensuring consistent messaging and synergy across all promotional opportunities.

  • Budget Management and Reporting: Oversee marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI/ROO. Track and report progress against KPIs and marketing objectives.

  • Continuous Improvement: Utilize data analytics to measure marketing effectiveness, extract actionable insights, and refine strategies for enhanced engagement and revenue growth. Conduct market research, analyze trends, and monitor industry developments to drive continuous improvement.

Experience

  • 8+ years’ experience in marketing leadership, preferably in sports, entertainment, or related fields.

  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies, consistently delivering business results, on time and on budget, within a growth environment.

  • Proven track record building and scaling a community of loyal and engaged fans.

Required Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of sports marketing and fan engagement strategies.

  • Ability to conceptualize and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns, leveraging paid advertising, digital, social media, communications, and experiential initiatives to deliver business results.

  • Proficient in analyzing market trends, consumer behavior, and campaign performance metrics.

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to establish trust-based relationships and communicate confidently and professionally across key stakeholders of the business.

  • Creative thinker, willing to bring new and innovative ideas to the table and challenge the status quo.

  • Proficient in leveraging digital tools and platforms, including social media management, analytics tools, content management systems, and digital advertising platforms.

  • Accountable and dependable, with great attention to detail.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, must be able to multitask under tight deadlines.

  • Ability to thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environment, maintaining composure and delivering results under pressure.

  • Entrepreneurial by nature, comfortable working within a nimble start-up culture, able to overcome challenges and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, project management software, email marketing platforms, and graphic design software.

  • Flexibility in working hours and willingness to travel globally to tournaments.

  • Background in golf preferred, knowledge and passion for professional golf required.
